1st International Kala Mela
The First ever International Kala Mela was inaugurated by the Vice President Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu In New Delhi. The International Kala Mela has been organized by the Lalit Kala Akademi in partnership with IGNCA of the Ministry of Culture. The Festival is being 4th to 17th February at the IGNCA, New Delhi.

World Cancer Day
The day is observed on 4th February every year to raise awareness about Cancer.
Theme:- We Can. I can.
Goal:- The primary goal of the day is to reduce the illness and related deaths by 2020.

Sri Lanka celebrated 70th Independence day
Theme:- ‘One Nation’.
Sri Lanka achieved freedom from British rule in 1948.

Fossils of 80 million-year-old dinosaur
Discovered in Egypt’s the Sahara Desert by Mansoura University.
Scientists said the plant-eating Cretaceous Period dinosaur named Mansourasaurus Shahina was 33 feet long and weighed 5. tons.

Khelo India School Games
Karnataka’s National Record Holder SrihariNatraj won two more Gold medals (50m backstroke & 100m freestyle) to take his final tally from the pool to six gold and one silver, as the swimming.
Firdaus Kayamkhani of Delhi won four gold in the Girls section at the Dr.Shyama Prasad Indoor Swimming Pool Stadium.
Manu Baker came up a stunning performance in the 10M Air Pistol event for girls breaking two junior national records during the course of the day at the first Khelo India School Games. That earned Manu a well-deserved gold at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Ranges.
