Conference on Jobs and Livelihood opportunities
NITI Aayog has organized a two-day Conference on Jobs and Livelihood opportunities in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industries, CII at Dr Ambedkar International Centre in the capital today. Vice-President of India, Shri Venkaiah Naidu will address the inaugural session this evening. Union MSME Minister Shri Giriraj Singh, Petroleum and Skill Development Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Rural Development Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar will be present on this occasion. Vice-Chairman, NITI Aayog, Rajiv Kumar, and CEO, NITI Aayog, Amitabh Kant shall address the gathering.

Google fined $21 million in India for Search Bias
The Competition Commission today imposed a fine of around Rs. 136 crores on search engine major Google for unfair business practices in the Indian market for online search.
It was alleged that Google is indulging in abuse of dominant position in the market for online search through practices leading to search bias and search manipulation, among others.

Indian flag was raised at the Games Village
A day before the beginning of the Winter Olympics, the Indian flag was raised at the Games Village at a formal team welcome ceremony in Pyeongchang
Luger Shiva Keshavan, Indian contingent's chef-de-mission Harjinder Singh and the mayor of the Games Village were present during the brief ceremony.Harjinder said Keshavan, who is taking part in his sixth Winter Olympics, has started training for his event.
The four heats of luge men's single's events in which Keshavan will participate will take place on February 10 and 11.

India has lost their Federation Cup Tennis tie against Kazakhstan by a 1-2 margin.
In New Delhi on Thursday, Karman Kaur Thandi lost the opening singles of the Asia/Oceania Group I tie to Zarina Diyas. However, Ankita Raina levelled the scores when she defeated Yulia Putintseva in three sets 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 in two hours and 25 minutes.
